What are PAL Study Groups?

Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) Study Groups are weekly sessions that bring together students from the same course to work through collaborative activities prepared by a trained PAL Leader. These fun, structured sessions are designed to foster higher-order thinking and deeper understanding of course material and help you prepare for future homework, exams, or projects.

How do I sign up?

Each course has multiple sessions per week. The same content is covered Monday through Sunday in all sessions for a particular course. For example, a MATH 101 PAL session on Monday will cover the same content as a MATH 101 session on Thursday of that same week.

PAL Study Groups are limited to 10 students per session, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible! Spring 2026 PAL Registration Form Coming Soon!

Who are the PAL leaders?

PAL Leaders are peer educators who have successfully completed the course and received specific PAL training to facilitate interactive group problems and activities. They meet weekly with the course faculty member(s) to identify difficult and important concepts and develop activities based on their guidance.

Please note that your attendance in PAL sessions is completely anonymous and will not be shared with faculty or instructional teams.
