Student Support
Designed to connect course content and skills to larger themes in undergraduate coursework, an Individual Learning Consultation (ILC) is a referral-based program that provides customized support for students who have encountered significant and persistent learning challenges. The one-on-one meetings with a professional Learning Specialist connect students to resources, identify areas of growth, develop course-specific learning strategies, and set unique goals. ILCs are also appropriate for students returning to academic work from an acute event that has interrupted their learning.
Referral
Beginning in Fall 2025, students encountering STEM-specific learning challenges may be referred by faculty and advisors for ILCs with our STEM Learning Specialist. To refer a student for support on STEM-related coursework, please write directly to Eastman Landry with the following information: The student’s name and netID, the course in which support is suggested, the reason for the referral, any additional context relevant to the referral.
