Testing Center Facilities

Located on the 5th Floor of the Fondren Library, our Testing Center includes a check-in area, a testing room with 17 carrels, and a private testing room (available April 8). Carrels are designed to reduce noise and distraction, and come with an adjustable overhead light (bright, warm) and noise-cancelling headphones. The center provides loaner laptops available for students whose accommodations require assistive technology and partners with the Disability Resource Center to provide access to testing in the DRC’s adaptive technology lab on the first floor of Fondren.

This will begin the process through which your accommodations will be registered.

What do I do if I’m entitled to testing accommodations in a course not supported by the Testing Center?

  • If your course is not supported by the Testing Center, you should still be able to access accommodations directly through your instructor or through the Disability Resource Center. If you encounter any challenges accessing the accommodations to which you are entitled, contact the Disability Resource Center immediately at ada@rice.edu.
